ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Abenaki Museum, the first Aboriginal museum in Quebec, invites you to discover the true image of a nation. On the program: guided tour of the exhibitions, multimedia film, terrace and boutique. Located in the heart of a historical site, you can take advantage of this rest area to visit the churches and the Odanak Chapel. The Museum is open year round (check our website for opening hours). Traditional meal packages are available upon reservation.
Also, near the Museum, walking trails with interpretation of the fauna and flora allow you to discover the environment of the community of Odanak.
MISSION
The Abenaki Museum offers a historical and contemporary testimony of Abenaki culture. Committed to its community, it offers to all generations experiences, know-how and traditions testifying to the Abenaki richness.
TOLBA TRAIL
In any season, discover the uniqueness of Odanak's fauna and flora by walking the Tolba Trail and Koak Trail along the Saint-François River. Interpretation panels will inform you about medicinal plants and various animal species such as turtles, reptiles and birds.
